In developing tempus, we consistently found that effectively separating the power supply from the signal clocking and output is the critical factor when designing an Ethernet Switch for high-end music and video streaming. We achieved this goal by designing a Switch with huge processing and switching capacity, precision clocking and integrated power filtering. The tempus Switch is perfectly matched with its Hybrid Power Supply, which is designed to provide ultra clean and dynamic power precisely as required.

After months spent testing the 'best' available battery, linear and switched-mode power supplies, Network Acoustics concluded that the only way to realise the performance they wanted for tempus, was to create something new, a power supply designed specifically for a network switch.

The tempus Hybrid Power Supply is a ground-breaking design in its own right. Featuring multi-stage noise filtering, a unique output stage design, switched-mode technology and its own high-performance DC cable. This hybrid design delivers ultra clean power of a quality normally only associated with the best linear supplies combined with the speed and dynamics that only a switched-mode supply can provide.
